Robert Walters Asia Job Index

The Robert Walters Asia Job Index was launched in Q2 2008 with a view to creating a quarterly defacto barometer for the job market across the region. Since its inception, the Index has grown in scope and now covers China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Singapore .

The Asia Job Index is highly regarded as an informative source, and its reports have been covered by numerous mainstream and trade media around Asia. Many companies have also used the Asia Job Index as a reference for their organisation's research and strategy reports.

ASIA JOB INDEX - Q4 2011

The Robert Walters Asia Job Index reveals that the total number of job advertisements for professional positions fell by 3% from Q3 to Q4, in line with historical trends. The 10% fall in job advertisements from October to December 2011 is further evidence of this seasonal decline. Only Korea bucked the trend, with an increase of 1% in job advertisements from Q3 to Q4 due to continued investment for growth by international companies and sustained high levels of spending and domestic demand.
